A chance discovery in the DVD rental place (one of the few remaining, sadly), this Mexican art house movie proved to be an absolute delight. Very slow moving, it nonetheless fascinates and draws you into its seemingly mundane world, full of wonder and weirdness. Frequently comic, touching and ultimately tragic, this film makes you want to know what's behind its story, makes you care about its characters and leaves you thinking about it long after it's finished.
