I've noted my views on this museum as an exhibition space before and won't repeat them here. Suffice to say that my negative first impression has given me a blind spot about the place and I didn't even know this exhibition was on until a friend suggested we go there yesterday. I'm glad he did - the exhibition is major league stuff. In addition to many works from the aforementioned Matisse (including The Dancers) and contemporaries, there were several Picasso works and some really interesting stuff from the cubist and objectivist schools. Recommended, thus.
The museum itself remains an unmitigated disaster.
